At Hackney Books, we love reading. We don’t love obstacles like logins, pop-ups, obtrusive advertising and annoying cookie policies that get in the way of getting to a good story
We don’t want your data, your subscription, your profile or your preferences; all things much loved by today’s marketers. We are already much loved by thousands upon thousands of readers every month who search for favourite authors or books to download and read at leisure without being re-directed by us to pay to read or to purchase. Having said that, we’re not a charity, we’re a community of readers. We do have to make some money to keep going so any advertising that we have, is sympathetic
Did we say community? Yes, we have added daily news, cartoons and a place to natter. We add to the collections every week and we welcome submissions from unpublished and self-publishing authors as well as digitised collections and libraries itching to be seen by our readers
